This little guy is small enough to throw in your suitcase and take with you anywhere. I honestly get a much deeper sleep when I have a sound machine going to block out any outside noise. So say good bye to hearing your neighbors TV blasting all night.
This is the best smell to help you unwind and relax. Lavender has been shown to be great at relieving anxiety and stress. I have noticed on days when I diffuse lavender or even rub it on my wrists and feet before bed I sleep way more soundly.
I apply lotion on my body before bed every night and this is the main one I used because if the relaxing lavender scent. I also love that this is all natural and there are no harmful chemicals or fragrances to irritate your skin.
4. Long Pjs
Ok so I’m sure this is a weird one for some people to read but I swear by long pjs. I normally sleep with the AC really cool at 68 degrees and I wear the long pjs to help keep me cozy at night. I move around a lot when I sleep and the long pjs help to keep me covered even if I kick off my comforter lol. Theres nothing worse than freezing all night and not being able to get warm.
Sleeping has become more difficult for me as I have gotten older and sleep aids can sometimes be too potent and make you feel groggy in the morning which is why I prefer the natural route. I personally love this supplement because it contains all natural ingredients that are great for anxiety and sleeping.
Make sure to check with your healthcare provider before trying any new supplements!
This is my all time FAVORITE pillow. This is the pillow I use every night at home. This tip is no so much about this exact pillow as it is just for you to bring your own pillow from home to sleep with on vacation. Many times when we are on vacation the hotels will use different pillows than you are used to and this can disrupt your sleep. So by bringing your own pillow you can hopefully feel right at home and get a great night’s sleep.
This one is a splurge item but worth every penny. Weighted blankets have been shown to reduce anxiety and induce deeper sleep-states. If you have never tried one then the best reference I can give you is it feels like those X-ray protecting sheets they lay on you before you get an X-ray at the dentist. It’s not so heavy that it’s uncomfortable but just heavy enough to feel like your being hugged by the most comfortable blanket ever.
So, next time you are going on vacation or even struggling to get some slumber at home, maybe give some of these tips a try and see how they work for you.
