Perfect Valentine’s Day Dress for Under $100!

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! What does that mean? Better start finding the perfect dress for the evening! Am I right!?

I for one, love finding any reason to get super dressed up, but it’s extra special on Valentine’s Day with all the love in the air. My absolute favorite thing to do is get dressed up. So, any holiday that embraces that, I’m all for it!

I love the classic, sophisticated styles of dresses. Nothing too revealing or over the top. I’m a firm believer that less is more, and leaving more to the imagination is better than letting it all hang out. lol

So, what are my go to styles you ask? Well, I am a lover of knee length/shorter dresses. I find that these dress really let me show off some cute shoes, so I normally select these style dresses.

I separated my top dress selections by color for easier navigation, of you had a color in mind already. I personally like to stick with simple, classic “love” colors. The pinks, reds, golds, whites, and of course the LBD is a must.

Dress categories:

LBD

First one up is the classic LBD (little black dress). I selected a long, classic short, and lacy design for some variety. My personal favorite is the middle LBD with the bell sleeves! With the perfect earrings and heels this outfit is dynamite for Valentine’s Day.

LWD

Next up the little white dress. White is perfect if you are going for that innocent, bright look this Valentine’s Day. The shift style dress in the middle with the waffle edges are killer if you like to show a little more skin. Personally, I love the more covered look of the last knee length white dress. Very Claire Underwood (house of cards reference) if I do say so myself.

LGD

Next up the little gold dress. I love a great statement dress, and walking in a room with a solid gold dress is definitely one way to turn a lot of heads. These classic and elegant designs are perfect for the romantic look without being too over the top.

LRD

Next up the little red dress. The first one is just so unique and stunning I just had to include it. I love finding dresses like this that you don’t see everyday. The ruffle detail on all three of these dresses are so feminine and perfect for Valentine’s Day. Plus is the classic “love” color to sport on Valentine’s day!

LPD

Last, but definitely not least, is the little pink dress! Let’s face it nothing is beating the blush, pink color this season. I mean I’m so obsessed with this light pink color, it’s seriously becoming a regular addiction. I’m literally head over heels, crazy in love with the middle dress! The flowing light weight material mixed with the gorgeous ruffle details and design of the dress is just absolute perfection. I’m so in love, I can’t wait for this dress to arrive!

You can shop any of these looks by clicking directly on the dress!

All in all I would say this Valentine’s Day is wear what you feel most feminine and beautiful in. If that means a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, than work it girl! If that means dressing up like you’re attending cinderella’s ball, then go for it!

Fashion is all about expressing yourself, and wearing whatever exemplifies that and makes you happy. I just hope this dress guide helped give you some inspiration for this years Valentine’s Day.

DIY Scarf: How to make an infinity scarf from scratch

I learned to knit when I was in fifth grade and ever since then I have loved making random things like bags, scarfs, and (attempting) sweaters lol. So, one day I was on Pinterest looking for knitting patterns for infinity scarfs and I came across a video for crocheting, which looked WAY easier than knitting. I of course immediately started looking up YouTube videos to see if it was going to be something I could even teach myself to do and sure enough it was surprisingly easy!

That day I went to Michael’s craft store and I got a crochet needle set and some yard and I started following a YouTube video on how to make a baby blanket. It was tricky at first to understand all the terms and to figure out what I was doing but literally after like 2 rows muscle memory takes over and you coast from there. I wish I could remember the actually video I used but I can’t. Although, if you just type in the YouTube search “crochet for beginners” or “Learn how to crochet” a bunch of videos pop up that are super helpful and go step by step. I think this is the best way to learn because you can pause the video and rewind a bunch until you get it. I did this twice, both times making a blanket because it was a simple square pattern.

Hi there! So recently I had a date night with my husband and thought I would share the look with you! I’m in love with these causal loose fitting tops from Knox Rose. This is a brand from Target stores and it is so affordable and so comfy. Pair that with my all time favorite classic mid-rise dark Express jeans and you got a perfect match! Also, these MaddenGirl heels are not the exact ones as the one featured in my picture, but they are a very similar design if you wanted to try them out. Finally, the purse in the picture was something I got years ago and is no longer sold, however, I found this Simply Vera Vera Wang purse and love it! I think this purse would also pair perfectly with the look. Plus the detail is just fabulous! You can find all these looks on ShopStyleCollective.com. So if you are looking for inspiration for your next date night outfit, look no further than this comfortable, stylish look.
